IT Consulting & Technology Services

Practical technology guidance from a working IT Director with enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and public-sector experience. No theory — applied expertise from someone who is still doing the work.

CitaForce IT consulting is led by a principal who currently serves as an IT Director responsible for the full technology stack of a public safety organization — networks, endpoints, cybersecurity, compliance, vendor relationships, and strategic planning. That is not background from ten years ago; it is the environment he manages every day.

That operational context matters because it shapes how we advise. We understand what it takes to keep systems running in high-stakes environments, what happens when infrastructure decisions go wrong, and how to make technology decisions that hold up over time with limited staff and real budget constraints. We bring that same discipline to every client engagement, regardless of industry.

We work with organizations ranging from small businesses to local government entities that need senior-level technology guidance without the overhead of a full-time IT director. We are direct, we document everything, and we do not recommend services you do not need.

How We Engage

We structure engagements around your needs, not a fixed service menu.

Project-Based

Defined scope, defined deliverables, fixed fee. Right for infrastructure builds, security assessments, migrations, policy projects, and one-time audits. You know what you are getting and what it costs before work begins.

Advisory Retainer

A set number of hours per month at a fixed rate for organizations that want ongoing technology advisory or a consistent senior technical resource without full-time headcount. Scoped to strategy, architecture review, and project oversight — not day-to-day helpdesk. Unused hours do not carry over; we right-size the retainer with you.

Work We Have Done

The following projects were led by CitaForce's principal across consulting and operational technology leadership roles. Results are real and documented.

Records & Evidence Management

Evidence Inventory Overhaul — 88% Reduction in Manhours

A public safety agency's annual physical evidence inventory required five people and a full work week to complete, creating significant operational disruption. The digital evidence management system also had permission misconfiguration creating legal liability exposure. We designed and implemented a barcode labeling system for the physical inventory and reverse-engineered the digital system to identify and correct the permission issues. The result: the annual inventory now takes three people one day instead of five people one week — an 88% reduction in manhours. The digital system fix also eliminated a liability risk without requiring a costly platform upgrade.

  • Process engineering
  • System administration
  • Barcode / asset management
  • Legal risk remediation
Process Automation

Reporting Automation — 90%+ Reduction in Late Reports

A government agency's investigators were writing duplicate reports manually, and statistical reporting to leadership was chronically late. Paper-based subpoena processing and forms locked behind a firewall were creating additional friction. We built Python automation scripts to draft reports from source data, eliminating duplicate entry. We implemented DocuSign enterprise-wide for subpoena processing, standardizing language and reducing paper costs. We connected internal web forms to a mobile-accessible interface using JotForm with API/webhook integration that wrote directly into the in-firewall data warehouse. Late reports dropped by more than 90%. Field access to digital forms was enabled without compromising network security.

  • Python scripting
  • DocuSign implementation
  • API / webhook integration
  • Mobile accessibility
Project Management

Body-Worn Camera Deployment — 100 Units, On Time, County-Funded

A public safety agency needed to launch a body-worn camera program with no existing policy, no established vendor relationship, and no dedicated budget. We wrote a full project plan covering equipment selection, policy development, officer training, evidence integration, and timeline. We identified and pursued county capital funding channels to cover the full cost of deployment. The project was delivered on schedule and the entire deployment was funded through capital appropriations rather than the agency's operating budget.

  • Project planning
  • Policy development
  • Capital funding
  • Vendor management
Vendor Management

Telecom Audit — $30,000 in Annual Savings Identified

During a routine vendor review for a public safety organization, we identified an unmanaged telecommunications account that had been accumulating charges without oversight or active use. No single person in the organization was responsible for the account, and it had not been audited in years. We documented the waste, coordinated the account remediation, and established an ongoing vendor review process to prevent recurrence. Result: $30,000 per year in recurring costs eliminated.

  • Vendor audit
  • Telecom management
  • Cost recovery
  • Process creation
